Jim works as an accountant for Oakland Woods Accounting Firm. He is married to Melinda Newton. They have two children, Jessica, and Gus. Jim hates paying the bills and is always willing to pay someone else to do it.
Melinda is a stay-at-home Mom. She is the responsible parent, who tries to make her children, Jessica and Gus behave. She’s married to Jim Newton. And some days she thinks he is the third child in her life.
Jessica is 8 years old and thinks the world revolves around her. Jessica can’t stand her little brother Gus and she wishes that she was an only child.
Gus wants to be a normal 5 -year-old kid, but he's very awkward and clumsy on most occasions. Gus idolizes his older sister Jessica and is willing to do anything she asks him to do.
Fred is not a typical dog, by all means, He doesn't like to fetch, because he has troubles fetching, but can't avoid the urge to try. Will protect his friend Digger from Kitty Cat, and if he gets a chance he will chase Kitty Cat.
Kitty Kat is always on the lookout for a good meal. He will stop at nothing to get it. His preferred meal would be Digger.
Digger Is a very rare bird, that is part Dodo and part Ostrich. Diggers’ biggest problem is he wants to fly but he can’t because he’s afraid of heights.
Sue is a reporter for the school newspaper. She also loves to play the dumb blond around her friends but is a lot smarter than she lets on. Sue also has a crush on Gus Newton
Tom is Gus’s best friend. He is always quiet and gullible in class, especially to his worst fear of BUGS. Tom lives for a great practical joke when it doesn’t include him or bugs. Tom has been known to pass out at the sight of any bugs.
Tina is the athlete of the kids. Tina is the team captain in every sport they play except for bowling. And that is when she sits out. Tina, sometimes has a tough attitude, when it comes to Gus and Tom. Together they are a handful for her to handle.
Mr. Slooper is the Oakland Woods Elementary school Principal. Mr. Slooper is an absent-minded person who dreads going on field trips with his students because he always gets lost, even with GPS. His favorite time of the year, like all teachers, is June, July, and August. That’s only because he doesn’t have to worry about Gus Newton.
Herb and Alice are retired and heads up the neighborhood watch program. Whatever happens in the neighborhood, they will know about it.
